I had the honor to present a presentation on Pinterest as part of the Business First Social Media Summer Camp at SparkSpace – in Columbus Ohio.
If you haven’t been to SparkSpace – go! It’s one of the greatest meeting places I’ve ever been to. It’s professional and creative. It’s room and the staff is extremely accommodating.
Mark Henson – the “creator & chief imagination officer” of SparkSpace is brilliantly creative and gave us a great presentation on blogging. Mark’s blog Spark New Thinking if brilliant and entertaining.
Charly Bauer from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream gave a great demonstration of how Google+ is working for their business. OK OK! I get it – I’ll spend more time with Google +! 🙂 Charly was a really great speaker, it was awesome hearing from a company USING the Google + instead of someone like, well me who’s telling you to use it! More on Google+ in another blog.
Christina Christian with Yelp.com gave a lively presentation about how Yelp.com connects people with great local businesses. Yelp.com is community of real people who are passionate about sharing their local experiences, and a marketing tool owners are learning to maximize− for free. And it’s not just for restaurants!
Jim Pidcock of Epic Business Solutions LLC educated us on QR Codes and mobile websites. We learned how to create your own QR Codes, what the 3 best practices you need to to use when implementing QR Codes, the biggest mistake businesses make (and how to avoid it), and most of all, how to use them to help build your business.
Business First hosts events that every business can benefit from!
