Are you seeing results from your online marketing?
Last spring, a few of the TekMiss blogs focused on planting your marketing garden. “Is your Marketing Garden Planted?“, “Planting your Seed and Waiting” and “April Showers bring May Flowers“.
At that time I WAS planting lots of marketing seeds.
I began with a regular marketing plan and schedule of marketing on all Social Media sites. I learned Pinterest. I began blogging on a regular schedule and sending out regular emails to my lists. I wrote E-Books and created USBling! I also got my butt out of the office and joined eWomen Network and DamesBond and attended many of the meetings. I said YES to being part of Business First Social Media Summer Camp.
Once I had a solid brand and message, and a website I love and can easily update, getting out there became fun.
I know what I sell, how I want to help clients and what to say when I talk about it. I’m proud of my website so I encourage people to go there (or rather HERE).
And guess what?
I AM harvesting many fruits from these efforts.
Luckily, our marketing seasons don’t depend on the weather. They only depend on our internal weather – are you ready? Are you getting you garden ready? Are you harvesting from your gardening efforts?
It doesn’t matter where you are on the continuum. Once you created the fertile garden of a strong message and presence online, the rest is fun.
It takes time and the journey should be fun.
If you’re NOT HAVING FUN it’s probable you just don’t have your garden ready to cast those marketing seeds.
Great point there, Kathy! It’s never too late for anyone to learn the ropes on Social Media. It is indeed a good thing to engage and to get yourself in the action in such gatherings. Moreover, I do believe that engagement is also a key in maintaining that love for work; thus benefits are worh reaping, too!
